Ariél M. Martinez is a queer femme writer from San Antonio, Texas. Her essays have been published in The Seneca Review, The Florida Review, HAD, The Rumpus, Peach Mag and The Gordon Square Review. She holds an MFA from the Bennington Writing Seminars and a BA from Bard College where she studied social sciences with a concentration in gender & sexuality studies. She was awarded the Residential Teaching Fellowship from Bennington College in 2021 and attended the Tin House Winter Workshop in 2020. Ariél lives in Brooklyn with her two bisexual chihuahuas. She is working on a memoir about Britney Spears and is a nonfiction editor at No Tokens. She is represented by Amanda Orozco at Transatlantic Agency.
